Timed artifical insemination is performed after Ultrasound examination of the reproductive tract to determine the optimum time for AI and therefore maximise pregnancy rates.
We are able to assist you to select the perfect sire for your individual mare whether that is a UK-based Stallion or semen imported from stallions all over the world.
Insemination can be performed with fresh, chilled and frozen semen depending on the availability of your selected sire and the suitability of your mare.
All of our AI packages are charged on a ‘per cycle’ basis, this includes as many ultrasound examinations as required in a single oestrus cycle, Artificial Insemination with your choice of semen, Post-AI examinations to determine ovulation and if any post-AI treatments are required. In addition to a 14 day pregnancy scan and 30 day heartbeat scan.
Fresh A.I.
Available from all the resident stallions that stand at stud with us or walk-in stallions that can be collected as required. As close as possible to ‘Natural Cover’ without the associated risks of a stallion covering a mare, semen quality can be improved by filtering during collection and the addition of an extender prior to AI.
Chilled A.I.
Allows semen to be shipped from stallions throughout the UK and Europe direct to your mare. Semen is processed and chilled to extend its longevity for shipping while still maximising fertility.
Frozen A.I.
Semen can be collected and stored for use at any time irrespective of stallions’ competitive schedule or location in the world. Maximising the use of thousands of potential sires. Semen can also be stored frozen indefinitely allowing the semen to be used from stallions that have already passed away. AI with frozen semen requires slightly more intensive management of the mare as the insemination timing needs to be very specific but can still achieve excellent results
